Welcome to Digital Ethics Center!

WHO ARE WE?

Digital Ethics Center is a non-for-profit, independent organisation working for the well-being of society, particularly children and young people in the digital world.

Here you will find reliable, research-based information and expert advice on when and how the use of technology is beneficial and when it may pose a risk to health, safety or reputation.

Team and experts

Today, there is more technology in human life than ever before. We grow, interact, work, and create in a digital environment. This presents many opportunities and at the same time poses challenges – how can we identify and manage the risks online?

Mission

To empower all Internet users, especially parents and educators, to take care of their own and their children’s and youth’s well-being in the digital world. We do this by ensuring the dissemination of reliable information and public education, and by bringing together practitioners, researchers, and organizations working in the digital field.

We provide solutions, tips, and tools to overcome the challenges of using the internet here and now.

Vision

All people, especially children and young people, know how to live their digital lives to the full potential of online technologies.

Every organisation working with IT is responsible not only for the use of the Internet and technological solutions, but also for the well-being and safety of every user in relation to the use of the Internet.
